Isolation and culturing method :

These were found on Dales Ridge in Central Pennsylvania. These were found about a foot off the ground on a stump.  They were growing in a cluster, on top of each other.

 

Culture appearance and growth:

These fungi are the shape of half circles, with central stipes. They grow off of bark, in this case they grow on a dead tree. The surface has blue, yellow and white segmentation. The bottom of the fungi is pored.It had a dirty smell to it. Upon collection, the top of the mushroom was soft, while the bottom was rougher feeling. After drying, the fungi did not feel the same, rather it all felt rough and dried out.

 

Spore production

No spore produced or found, sample was too old to obtain spore print and no spores were foind on the fruit body itself
