Possible ID: species in Pezizomycotina
Classification:
Phylum Ascomycota
Subphylum Pezizomycotina
Isolation and Culturing Methods:
This sample was collected from a soil sample outside of the biology building on Bucknell’s campus on March 3rd, 2018. The sample of soil was directly plated onto a MEA plate and cultured for two weeks. The sample was extracted from the soil sample plate and cultured on a new plate and grew for one week. This process was repeated an additional time to ensure its isolation.
