Isolated from Dale’s Ridge in Lewisburg, PA from branch of a hardwood tree.

 

Appearance and growth:

Cap is thin, light blue with rings of shades of blue, white, and brown, and is velvety/fuzzy, measuring 4-6×6-8 cm. Grows on the side of branches and on the bottom of hardwood stumps. Contains pores on underside, distinguishing it from a Sterum ostrea.
